Reality Television - When do we say when?
Since the chart topper "Survivor" first hit the scene back in the 90's, there have been several reality shows to follow. The one were contestants do dangerous
stunts and eat bugs to win money has since stopped showing as often.
It may not even be on the air anymore; who knows. However, the show,
"Jon & Kate Plus Eight" may have done better than Survivor with all
of the drama that has erupted from them taking a reality show to the
next level. Jon & Kate's personal life was the focus of the hit TV
show. And it may have caused them to separate which only added to the
drama. Adding to the drama and giving the story to the media had
ratings going through the roof. This type of reality television is
what gave the parents of "Balloon Boy" the big idea they had of having
their own reality television show. Poor kids...
